Description
In this presentation, we will give an introduction to the physics of heavy quarkonia in ultra-relativistic collisions of heavy nuclei. Different production-affecting phenomena will be overviewed and juxtaposed with experimental results of related observables. Furthermore, we will present recent measurements of the $\Upsilon$ production in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}}=200$~GeV via the di-lepton channel by the STAR experiment at RHIC. At RHIC energies, the regeneration and some of the CNM effects are expected to have little or no effect for the bottomonium family, which makes it one of the cleanest probes of the screening effect.
