Description
The Police Academy of the Czech Republic in Prague has been participating in two EU Horizon projects: one aimed at protecting the population against CBRN threats in urban areas, and the other focused on protecting the population in closed spaces. Special attention was paid to the radioactive and nuclear materials. The paper presents specific characteristics of individual CBRN agents, along with preliminary results and a discussion of problems associated with exposure to two or more of their components, where both synergistic and antagonistic effects may occur. Another problem to be considered is the total risk from the mixed exposure, which is also discussed.
